Trade shows can be some of the most important dates in any business’ calendar. They give you the opportunity to raise awareness of your company and the products and/or services that it provides in a personal, interactive setting. At trade shows, you meet and get to know potential clients face to face while providing you the chance to present your company in a professional manner. First impressions are critical and your prospective customers are going to be bombarded with information from dozens of companies, if not hundreds. How do you make sure that clients remember you in the right light?

When you go to a trade show, you could just take a folding table and sit behind it at your stall waiting for the clients to mob you in their enthusiasm. This scenario is unlikely to happen. If you turn up to a trade show with merely a folding table, you are likely to spend a very lonely eight to ten hours sitting behind it. It is critical to come prepared with materials and props that give you and your company an air of professionalism. Fortunately there is a wide selection of products to choose from in your effort to present a professional appearance. None of them require great expenditure.

Consider the large options. Banners are an excellent way of catching the attention of your prospective clients when they are still some distance away. An eye-catching banner can really pull people in after catching their interest from a distance, and then provide you a chance to get them acquainted with the company via the business’ spokesperson, you.

The sheer variety of types of banners available for trade shows is quite impressive. Depending on how much space you have at your stall and for storing and transporting items before and after the trade show, there is a banner to suit every combination of needs. Banners can be mounted to a frame, free standing or roll up for easy storage and transportation.

There are stores both on the street and online that can make banners to your specifications. Before you order a particular type of banner you will want to consider a couple of questions. It may look really cool in the brochure, but will you be able to store and transport it to the trade show easily? Will you be able to assemble and disassemble it easily, and will it transport back home without any problems?

Think about the size of your booth – how much space will you actually have available for a banner? There is little sense in getting the biggest one available if all your prospective customers will be able to see of you are your toes peeping out from underneath it. Work on a design before seeking quotes. Knowing the size you require will also be handy for obtaining precise price quotes. Presenting the company with both the desired measurement for the banner and a reasonably finished design will enable a company to give you a more precise quote. This protects both of you from any nasty surprises when it comes to billing time.
